Rejected Man Throws Acid On Woman – Look At Her 10 Years Later
True love is blind: it does not know any limits, and it does not let anything stand in its way. This woman learned the power of true love when she was recovering from a brutal attack. When all else seemed lost, this brave woman found hope.
Pramoudini Roul is 25 years old and lives in New Delhi. She goes by the name Rani, which means “queen” in Hindi. When she was 15 years old, she was courted by a 28-year-old paramilitary soldier. He fell in love with her and asked her to marry him. Rani did not feel the same way, so she rejected the proposal. That could have been the end of it, but the man had revenge on his heart. What he did next is unforgivable.
One day, while Rani was walking home from an exam, she crossed paths with the spurned lover. He was riding on a motorbike. The wicked man threw acid at her as revenge for rejecting him.
The girl was rushed to intensive care where she would need to undergo five reconstructive surgeries, including one to partially restore her vision. Rani was devastated. She would be bedridden for four years while her widowed mother looked after her.
Rani had grafted skin from her legs, but when she was discharged from the hospital too soon, the wounds began to fill with puss. She returned to the hospital, where she made an unexpected friendship. One day her nurse brought a friend in to help look after the patients. This man, named Saroj, took a particular interest in Rani. He began to visit her more and more.
Soon Saroj had quit his job and was attending to Rani daily. He gave her constant encouragement and told her never to lose hope that things would get better.
“I had already lost my eyesight and the thought of being bedridden was an added woe,” Rani explained to The Sun. “But Saroj did not lose hope. He would encourage me every day, motivating me to be positive and have hopes.”
The two soon fell madly in love. Rani moved in with Saroj, and the two have lived together in New Delhi for over a year. They are already planning their wedding.
“Saroj really treats me like a queen,” Rani shared. “He loves me like the way I am. He encourages me to live life happily. I feel very lucky to have him. He is very understanding and is always there for me. It always feels good to be loved and be assured of having a partner who loves and recognizes the goodness in you.”
Rani has a beautiful heart, and she deserves someone who loves her as strongly as Saroj does.
